Argosy Education Group Announces Three Appointments as Part of Transition to National University Structure.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2000

Argosy Education Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARGY) today announced that three officers have been appointed to newly created positions as part of the firm's transition to a national university structure.

The executives and their new positions are:

-- Jack Sites, J.D., senior vice president of academic affairs

for all Argosy campuses;

-- Joseph Bascuas, Ph.D., regional vice president for Argosy's

campuses in Washington, California and Arizona; and

-- Cynthia Baum, Ph.D., regional vice president for Argosy's

campuses in Illinois and Canada.

Dr. Bascuas and Dr. Baum also continue as campus deans for Argosy's American Schools of Professional Psychology.

"These new positions are part of the management infrastructure needed to implement our transition to a national university concept," said Jim Otten, Ph.D., Argosy's president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Before being named to his new position, Dr. Sites had served as provost of the American Schools of Professional Psychology since 1999. He holds a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology and a M.A. degree in psychology from Temple University, and a B.A. degree in psychology from La Salle University.

Dr. Baum adds her new role as a regional vice president of Argosy to her continuing responsibilities as dean of the American School of Professional Psychology campus in Arlington, Virginia, a position she has held since 1994. She brings to Argosy an extensive background in teaching, accreditation and educational administration. Dr. Baum holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Georgia Organization
