Argonaut Group Appoints Rodney N. Sargent as Corporate Vice President, Marketing & Communications.


SAN ANTONIO San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837.  -- Argonaut Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:AGII) announced today that Rodney N. Sargent has been appointed vice president of corporate marketing and communications. "I am pleased to add such strong marketing leadership to the organization," said Mark E. Watson III, president and chief executive officer of Argonaut Group, Inc. "Rod brings a wealth of marketing experience to this new role. As a key member of the leadership team, he will provide greater focus and energy to the marketing, branding and communications of Argonaut Group."

Sargent's experience includes executive management with several well known national insurers. He held multiple leadership roles with Seattle-based SAFECO, including positions as Corporate Marketing Officer and Corporate E-commerce Officer. Prior to joining Argonaut Group, Mr. Sargent was Vice President of Marketing for the Property & Casualty Companies of United Services Automobile Association Automobile Association may refer to:
