Argonaut Group Announces Officer Promotions.


SAN ANTONIO San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837.  -- Argonaut Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:AGII) board of directors announced the promotions of four corporate vice presidents to the new title of Corporate Senior Vice President for Argonaut Group.

"These promotions acknowledge the diligence of four senior leaders of my executive team," said Mark E. Watson III, president and chief executive officer of Argonaut Group, Inc. "Each of these key individuals has made significant contributions to our results."
SENIOR EXECUTIVE PROMOTIONS:

Mark W. Haushill, Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial
Officer, was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, Treasurer
and Chief Financial Officer.

Barbara C. Bufkin, Vice President, Corporate Business Development,
was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Byron L. LeFlore, Jr., Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel,
was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, Secretary and General
Counsel.

Charles W. Weaver, Vice President, Corporate Claims, was promoted
to Corporate Senior Vice President, Claims.
