Argon ST Achieves CMMI Level 3 Rating for Software/Systems Engineering.

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Argon ST, Inc., (NASDAQ:STST), has successfully earned an important qualification representing a measure of professional standards and engineering consistency in their development processes. The company's Fairfax, Virginia, operations have been qualified for a Level 3 rating for software/systems engineering as defined by the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). The results of the industry accepted appraisal places Argon ST within an elite group as one of the few companies worldwide that have obtained a CMMI Level 3.

The qualification and appraisal process itself was complex and demanded an exhaustive examination of procedures, practices and documentation. To ensure objectivity and adherence to rigorous SEI standards, the appraisal team was led by independent third-party appraiser Ralph Williams, of Cooliemon, LLC, a technology and process consulting expert organization. The team conducted extensive interviews over a two-week period with Fairfax employees and reviewed more than 3,500 artifacts, covering multiple programs and engineering disciplines engaged in system development.
