Argent signs multiyear sponsor agreement with IndyCar racers.

Argent Mortgage Co., Irvine, California, announced it has signed a significant multiyear agreement with Andretti Green Racing, Indianapolis, for sponsorship of its professional racecar drivers Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti for the 2007 IndyCar Series season and beyond.

The agreement will afford Argent high visibility through Andretti Green Racing, which won the 2004 and 2005 IndyCar Series championships and the 2005 Indy 500, according to Argent President Sam Marzouk.

"Danica and Marco are two of the most talented young drivers in racing, and two of the sport's most recognizable names," said Marzouk. "Bringing them together under the Argent banner creates an unbeatable combination to highlight our brand."

The agreement further enhances Argent's promotional platform and broadens its ongoing commitment to develop beneficial relationships in the mortgage broker community.

Under the agreement, Argent becomes a major associate sponsor of Andretti Green Racing, Patrick's No. 7 Team Motorola IndyCar and Andretti's No. 26 IndyCar entry. Argent will be designated the "Official Mortgage Lending Company of Andretti Green Racing" and the "Official Mortgage Lending Company of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg."

"Andretti Green's drivers, including Danica and Marco, personify Argent's brand attributes of speed, teamwork and determination--qualities that are integral to racing and to our business," said Marzouk.

Crowned 2005 Indy Racing League (IRL) Rookie of the Year, Patrick made history by becoming the first woman to lead the Indy 500. The qualities that she represents align perfectly with Argent's leadership in the non-prime and alternative-A mortgage markets, where Patrick recently introduced the company's new products, said Marzouk.

Andretti--this year's Indy 500 Rookie of the Year--placed seventh in the 2006 season's driver-point standings with 325 points, as well as earning the IRL Bombardier Rookie of the Year honor.
