Argenbright's Mike Dupras Named Security ``Screener Of The Year'' By Federal Aviation Administration.


BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1999--

Mike Dupras, an Argenbright Security Argenbright Security is an Atlanta-based subsidiary of Securicor that has operated security at airports across the United States, including Philadelphia International Airport and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.  employee working at Boise Airport's Duane Beeson Duane W. Beeson (1921-1947) was a World War II fighter pilot, born and raised in Boise, Idaho.

The award was created five years ago to recognize excellence among the nation's thousands of airport security screeners. Individuals are nominated by commercial air carriers within nine regions of the nation.

 and has worked in airport security since 1995. In his four years working in this capacity, Dupras has never failed an FAA or airline test. This is an important achievement because testing is conducted by FAA personnel using unannounced checks and simulated weapons in the screening process.

In addition, Dupras has also detected four live weapons trying to get though security checkpoints, two of them in 1998.

According to Admiral Flynn, associate administrator for Civil Aviation Security, an average screener can examine more than 300,000 bags and 150,000 passengers in a year, making it a demanding job requiring vigilance and an unwavering sense of duty.
