Arelnet Receives Order Worth Over $10M From South American Carrier.

Arelnet will furnish its i-Tone Prime Carrier Grade Gateways and i-Tone Primo Access Gateways to form one of the world's largest dedicated VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) networks. This VoIP network will interface with the customer's existing national legacy telephony infrastructure. As an integral part of the VoIP network's backbone, the i-Tone Prime will carry voice and data throughout the network, whereas the i-Tone Primo will provide last mile connectivity for voice, data and Internet services to small and medium enterprises as well as residential customers. In addition to the Gateways, Arelnet will also provide IP Gatekeepers and an integrated network A network that supports both data and voice and/or different networking protocols. Arelnet provides mid-range carrier grade VoIP systems for carriers, NextGen telcos and ISPs. Its i-Tone Prime Carrier Grade Gateway architecture includes a fully redundant, hot swappable gateway supporting up to 24 T1/E1 trunks per shelf and up to 5,000 ports per rack. The i-Tone Primo Gateway supports 2-4 ports in a stand-alone unit and can handle simultaneous voice, fax and data transmissions. The i-Tone Primo has a 10Base-T Ethernet port connected to a LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  to enable optimized voice streaming over packet voice networks.

Arelnet equipment will be integrated by the South American telecom carrier with equipment from Cisco, Ericsson, Motorola and others in the new network.
