PERCHED dangerously on a rocky outcrop, these idiots ignored a Coast Guard offer to bring them to safety as the tide raced in.

It happened just days after a Polish man Piotr Piotr is the Polish spelling of the given name Peter.

Piotr could refer to the following real people:
  • Piotr Adamczyk (b. 1972) - Polish actor
  • Piotr Andrejew (b.
 Latek and his 13-year-old son Matthias Matthias, 1557–1619, Holy Roman emperor (1612–19), king of Bohemia (1611–17) and of Hungary (1608–18), son of Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian II. He was appointed governor of Austria (1593) by his brother, Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II.  were tragically swept to their deaths off the Cork coast.

The two young non-nationals in these pictures - a Polish man and a Lithuanian - became stranded near Inishowen Head in Donegal. They became cut off while fishing at Portcille, a remote coastal location set below cliffs.

Greencastle Coast Guard's Charlie Cavanagh said his crew were alerted on July 19.

He added the men were unprepared and oblivious to the danger they put themselves in.

Mr Cavanagh said: "We sent a shore team out to warn them to come off before it was too late.

"But these men weren't looking for help. It was 5pm. We knew high tide was only about an hour and 20 minutes away." Mr Cavanagh said eventually the men started losing equipment as seven foot waves came in and they had around a 6ft square of space to stand on.
