Are Roisin and Col RAILLY the most stylish? Irish stars on track for Off The Rails bash.

IRELAND'S most stylish celebrities will be crowned tonight - and it is shaping up to be a tough battle.

The Off The Rails Awards will honour the creme de la creme of Irish fashionistas.

And just some of those in the running for the Most Stylish Man are Ryan Tubridy, Aidan Power, Colin Farrell and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Up for Best Dressed Female are Amy Huberman, Grainne Seoige, Miriam O'Callaghan and Kathryn Thomas.

But host Brendan Courtney already has his mind made up.

He said: "I think Roisin Murphy is my favourite girl. She is so unique, she just doesn't give a damn, she tries different things and she always looks great because she wears everything with confidence.

"The men are harder to judge but Colin Farrell always looks good, no matter what he wears. But when you're beautiful, it is hard to look bad.

"I like Jonathan Rhys Meyers as well and Michael Fassbender - he always looks really cool. He could be the new James Bond."

Presenter Sonya Lennon added: "I don't want to give away too much but it is great to see the likes of Charlene McKenna and Roisin Murphy in there because they are different and they have fresh and unique styles. But each of those women is in with a chance because they are the epitome of great style and class."

Also up for grabs are the Best Stylist, Best Photographer, Best Hair Stylist and Best Make Up Artist.

Brendan said: "The Off The Rails Fashion Awards have been created to celebrate the brightest and best of the Irish fashion industry."

The night certainly won't be short of a bit of glamour - supermodel Jodie Kidd will present the Best Designer Award at the awards.

The blonde will replace Jerry Hall after she pulled out at the last minute citing exhaustion after her stint in West End show Calendar Girls and has been advised not to take on any extra projects while she recovers.

The awards will mark the beginning of a weekend-long celebration of all things style related, including numerous live fashion shows.

Off The Rails: Total Experience goes live today in the RDS and if you do go along, Brendan and Sonya will be on hand to give you some tips on how to make the most of what you have got.

Brendan said: "The event is all about pampering yourself. In these recessionary times, people tend to forget about looking after themselves.

"We inherited the show last year so this year we have revamped it and tried to make it our own. The idea is to have a bigger input from the presenters. It will be a hectic few days for us but we are looking forward to it."

Sonya added: "The aim is to teach people how to dress to suit their body shape.

"We felt last year that the live show wasn't very representative of us and what we stood for."
