Ardence Names Paul Dacier and Robert Doretti to its Board of Directors; EMC Executive VP; former Chairman of ON Technology join software platform developer.

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Ardence Inc., the leader in developing software platforms for the on-demand world, today announced the addition of two experienced high technology executives to its Board of Directors - Paul T. Dacier, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of EMC Corporation; and Robert L. Doretti, former Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of ON Technology Corporation.

Dacier has responsibility for the worldwide legal affairs of EMC and its subsidiaries. He also oversees the company's real estate and facilities organizations, as well as its government affairs and aviation departments. EMC is a global leader in information management and storage solutions.

Doretti headed ON Technology Corporation from 2000 through its acquisition by Symantec Corp. in February 2004. He led the restructuring and dramatic resurgence of the enterprise software infrastructure solutions provider, taking ON Technology to record revenue and profits in 2003.

Dacier and Doretti join Ardence's three other Directors: Leigh Michl, a Partner at Advent International Corporation; Stephen M. Jenks, Managing Partner of Capital Resource Partners; and Davis.

Dacier joined EMC in 1990 as Corporate Counsel and had served as General Counsel, Vice President and Senior Vice President before being named Executive Vice President earlier this year. In 2003 Governor Mitt Romney named Dacier to the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission. He is immediate past Chair of the New England Legal Foundation and a member of its board of directors. Dacier was named one of the top 10 Massachusetts lawyers in 2005 by the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Prior to joining ON Technology, Doretti was President and Chief Executive Officer of Thinking Machines Corporation, a professional services and software provider of data mining and customer relationship management solutions. From 1968-1986, Doretti held a number of key positions at Wang Laboratories, including seven years as its Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of CorVu Corporation and eDiets.com.
