. E[acute accent]Ardence's High-Availability Option is an add-on to its Desktop and Ardence Server Editions. Combined with in-put/out-put services, the High-Availability Option allows users to balance the load on servers currently running Ardence, and offers a fully redundant solution to support the infrastructure, providing users with the assurance that their applications are running accurately and consistently. To accommodate varying use scenarios, Ardence 3.3 is being released in three editions:

E[acute accent]--Ardence Desktop Edition - the fully functional Ardence client for Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP The previous client version of Windows. XP was a major upgrade to the client version of Windows 2000 with numerous changes to the user interface. Ardence 3.3 supports custom client attributes to fulfill these requirements. Custom fields are created and set within the Ardence database. A command-line utility then calls these variables and adjusts the registry setting, environment variable, or file - eliminating the need for lengthy scripts and separate databases. E[acute accent]A Watch Dog Service - This feature has been added to monitor Ardence Services. It will detect errors or issues and will restart any service that goes down. This minimize system downtime and outages, allowing for a more productive work environment. E[acute accent]Support for PXE (Preboot EXecution Environment) An Intel Wired for Management (WfM) capability that enables a PC to boot from the server. It enables remote booting (boot the OS), remote emergency booting (boot a diagnostic program) and remote new system startup (boot the installation  .99J - This feature as been added for cases in which the BIOS can only be upgraded to PXE .99J. Ardence enhances the capabilities of older machines and extends their lifespan, allowing for greater return on the initial PC investment.
