Arctic trips up for grabs.YOUNGSTERS from the North East are being invited to join Arctic expeditions by taking advantage of bursary bur·sa·ry n. pl. bur·sa·ries 1. The money will enable 16-20 year olds to choose between a glacial mountaineering expedition in Greenland or a sea-kayaking and scientific research expedition to Northern Norway. Organised by the youth development charity, BSES Expeditions BSES Expeditions is a youth development charity based in the United Kingdom. It operates expeditions for young people, to wilderness environments. The expeditions aim to develop confidence, teamwork and the spirit of adventure. , no previous kayaking or mountaineering experience is required as all relevant training will be provided in the field. An open evening is being held for anyone interested in taking part on Wednesday, February 25 from 6pm-7pm at the Express Holiday Inn in Waterloo Square, Newcastle.
