Architects selected for condo development.A residential and mixed-use condominium development will soon begin construction in the heart of Forest Hills, an area of Queens that has not seen a notable new luxury residential project built in over ten years. The 95 new condominium apartments will be part of a mixed-use building located at 71st Road and Queens Boulevard Queens Boulevard is a major thoroughfare in the New York City borough of Queens, forming part of New York State Route 25. Location It runs northwest to southeast across more than half the length of the borough, starting at the Queensboro Bridge in Long Island City and in Forest Hills, New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. Its design, by David Childs and Mustafa Kemal Abadan of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, consists of two 229 m (750 ft) towers bridged by a multi-story atrium containing upscale retail , has designed the new 21 story building. Below the tower will be 8,000 square feet of commercial space, a residential lobby with a 24-hour doorman, a multi level parking garage and 1,000 square feet of community space. The facade of the building will be composed of traditional beige colored brick with floor to ceiling bronze tinted glass windows that will define the corners of the structure. The residential lobby, also designed by Ismael Leyva, will include wood covered columns with black granite vertical reveals; and inlaid in·laid v. Past tense and past participle of inlay. adj. 1.
