A site emanating from the University of Ghent, Architects in Cyberspace Coined by William Gibson in his 1984 novel "Neuromancer," it is a futuristic computer network that people use by plugging their minds into it! The term now refers to the Internet or to the online or digital world in general. See Internet and virtual reality. The organizers say that it 'isn't a site about architecture', but it's difficult to discover exactly what it is about except for uncritical and shambolic sham·bol·ic

 worship of 'digitization'. Unless you are particularly keen on the cyberworld, the site is scarcely worth a visit at the moment.
