Architects announce condo completion.

Construction has been completed at two of the 22 multi-family condominiums designed by Scarano & Associates Architects in Williamsburg--171 North Seventh Street and 395 South Second Street--already resulting in a pronounced impact on the architectural vocabulary of the area, announces Robert Scarano, Jr., AIA, FARA, ALA, principal and founder of the Brooklyn-based firm.

The building at 171 North Seventh Street is situated in what is considered the "hot spot" intersection of the area, also known as the "SoHo of Brooklyn.

Designed by Scarano's Carmen Larach for developer Isaac Schwartz of North 7th Condos, LLC, the 8,600 s/f, four-story structure houses eight luxury condominium units, including two duplexes on the first floor and six units on the remaining three floors.

The condominium units are being marketed by the Developers Group.

The second condominium recently completed, 395 South Second Street, is located in a newly revitalized section of the neighborhood, South Williamsburg, near Union Avenue and the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

Designed with the same innovation as its trendier Williamsburg counterpart, Scarano's Tamar Kisilevitz has created a distinct four-story, 6,430 s/f condominium comprising six units on a triangular-shaped lot for Rubin Brothers Developers.

"Our goal is to improve the appearance of the neighborhood and eliminate the idea that one section is more desirable than another," continues Mr. Scarano. "We want to reinforce a confluence of design styles that enhance the architectural environment in its entirety."

Other current residential projects designed by Scarano & Associates in Williamsburg, include 42, 130 and 160-166 Scholes Street.
