Architects, Contractors and Builders Can Now Download CAD Layouts and Specs for Elevators, Escalators, Powerwalks From New Web Site.

MOLINE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 1997--Architects, designers, contractors, builders and building owners now have instant access to and can download CAD layouts, specifications, technical information, service and modernization information, and new product information on elevators, escalators and powerwalks manufactured by Montgomery KONE KONE Kites Over New England . All information is available through the firm's Web site located at http://www.montgomery-kone.com, the most complete site of its kind available in the vertical transportation industry.

The Web site opens to the door of an elevator entrance. The site invites you to take a virtual elevator tour; whereby you are transported through cyber-space inside the elevator. A car operating panel contains excellent navigational buttons to each floor displayed on the right side of the page. Each floor button is labeled with the content of that level. Viewers can go directly to any floor by clicking on the floor button of their choice - the same way you would push a button in an elevator. They can move between floors and different content easily by simply clicking on another floor button. The buttons are always visible on every page. Each page features a product photo or graphic, and presents a number of choice options in a simple-to-use format.

"We feel we are providing architects and contractors with 24 hour access to drawings, specs and other information about our products and services," said Heimo Makinen, president of Montgomery KONE. "The drawings and specs for our elevators, escalators and powerwalks are on Level 5 and can be downloaded through our Web site right into the architect's or builder's design. They no longer have to wait for someone else to send them information. It's available around the clock to people in the industry who need this kind of detail," he said.

Versie Stephanson, senior project architect for HOK Architects, frequently uses the Web site to incorporate specifications and CAD layouts. "I really like the instant access to elevator and floor-to-floor specifications," said Stephanson. "It's a great resource that makes our job easier. Montgomery KONE products are standard in the majority of our facilities, so easy access to their information is beneficial to our operation," he said.
