Past winners of the award include Philip Johnson (1993), Pei Cobb Freed &Partners (1992), Beyer Blinder Belle (1991), Gwathmey Siegel Architects (1990) and Max Abramovitz (1987). As Principal-in-Charge for HOK in New York, Davis provides the managerial overview of all projects to ensure their compliance to pre-established design requirements, budgets and schedules and client goals. All project directors in the New York office report to Davis and he, in turn, provides regular briefings on operations to HOK's Office of the Chairman. Davis maintains senior management overview of projects and conducts periodic Quality Review Committee meetings. He is also a well-respected authority in health care and research and development facility planning and design, and a member of HOK's Board of Directors.
