Architect give financial district tour as part of AIA downtown conference.


Marvin H. Meltzer, vice president of Meltzer/Mandl Architects and a prominent designer of multi-family buildings in Manhattan, will lead as many as 40 architects, planners and others on a walking tour of housing in New York's financial district.

Conducting the tour with Mettzer will be Leon D. Marrano III, president of Marson Construction Co.

Meltzer/Mandl Architects designed the conversion at 50 Murray St. Marson Construction Co. carried out the work. Their client, The Worldwide Group, developed the property.

The conference will explore how New York is rebuilding after 9/11.

The speakers, attendees and tour leaders such as Meltzer are sure to have pointed opinions on what is being done right and what could be done better in the area.
