Architech and Wisor Telecom Help ICP Save Through Simplified Order Management; Architech Designs and Implements Application for Easy, Centralized Access to Thousands of Circuit IDs Across Disparate Systems.

RESTON, Va. -- Architech Corp. today announced that it has successfully completed a data-circuit-extraction project with Wisor Telecom, enabling that company to relay one of its customers significant savings through simplified, more accountable order management. Architech and Wisor crafted a solution that enables the customer, an integrated communications provider (ICP (1) (Internet Cache Protocol) A protocol used by one proxy server to query another for a cached Web page without having to go to the Internet to retrieve it. See CARP and proxy server. ), to more efficiently access data on more than 20,000 existing circuit identifications and enter new order data.

"We were under a tight deadline with our customer, and Architech quickly grasped what we were trying to achieve," said Jim Hasemann, Vice President, Operations and Customer Delivery with Wisor. "Architech understood not just what we were asking for but also what we needed to execute the project. It demonstrated a clear knowledge of the types of databases and extraction methods we would be using.

"We were able to deliver our customer results in four weeks. Our ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot).  (return on investment) in using Architech was effectively immediate, and, most importantly Adv. 1. most importantly - above and beyond all other consideration; "above all, you must be independent"
above all, most especially
, our customer is thrilled."

Architech designed and implemented an automated, online screen-scraping application that Wisor's customer uses to extract specific data on a variety of services - T1, DS3, last-mile, etc. - from design layout records (DLRs) of disparate, legacy systems. The application parses the output and automatically formats it for easy, single-point access through Wisor's online portal.

With the central repository of data on all old and new services, Wisor's customer was able to audit what communications circuits it was paying to use against those it was actually using to provide services and, in turn, eliminate inefficiencies and reap savings. Furthermore, new moves, adds and changes are executed through the centralized system In telecommunications, a centralized system is one in which most communications are routed through one or more major central hubs. Such a system allows certain functions to be concentrated in the system's hubs, freeing up resources in the peripheral units. , delivering additional operational savings.

"The key with any data project is to clearly identify what it is you're trying to achieve and then defining the tidiest, most expedient methods to reach that end state. It is when those kinds of tight controls are not maintained that schedules slip and budgets are exceeded," said Joe Tedesco, chief executive officer (CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. "We look forward to working with Wisor again in helping its customers use technology to quickly, affordably meet business objectives."
