In addition, the patent covers premenstrual syndrome or other problems relating to a reduction of sex hormones and to menstruation.

Archer Daniels markets isoflavones under the brand name Novasoy. Novasoy is comprised of soy-derived isoflavones in combination with saponins and other concentrated phytochemicals. "These latest patents are part of a series which demonstrates our commitment to the discovery and development of plant-derived ingredients that promote health and well being," stated DeLio. "We continue to provide our customers with quality products backed by strong science to help them differentiate their products from competitors."
