THE Archbishop of York has visited the Angel of the North.
Dr John Sentamu John Tucker Mugabi Sentamu (born 10 June 1949 in Kampala, Uganda) is the 97th Archbishop of York, Metropolitan of the province of York, and Primate of England. He is the second most senior cleric in the Church of England, after the Archbishop of Canterbury, and the first member of met with representatives from Gateshead Council
yesterday as part of a tour of the North East.

Antony Mark David Gormley OBE (born 30 August 1950) is an English sculptor. His best known works include the Angel of the North, a public sculpture in Gateshead commissioned in 1995 and erected in February 1998, and Another Place . He also met with Gateshead Council's leader, Mick Henry,
and the borough's Mayor, Coun John Eagle, who showed off a
miniature version of the sculpture, which last year became the first
pounds 1m-valued object on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow. Dr Sentamu
is renowned for his bold statements on society, once taking a pair of
scissors to his clerical collar, saying he would not replace it until
Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe was out of office.
He also wore a hoodie hoodie hood n (top) → sweat m à capuche; (youth) → jeune m à capuche to a church conference to argue that
teenagers should not be judged by their choice of clothes.
