MAJOR PRODUCTS:

Arch offers a variety of antimicrobial agents. Our zinc Omadine[R] biocide provides proven protection against both fungi and algae. Long established as one of the most effective antidandruff agents used in shampoos, it is now being used worldwide as a dry-film paint preservative in a variety of paint and stain formulations. With the United Nations' International Maritime Organization recommending a global ban on tributyl tins in marine paints, Arch's environmentally preferable zinc and copper Omadine[R] products are rapidly being adopted by global marine antifouling paint makers and shipbuilders as the leading alternative to TBT.

In addition, enhanced zinc Omadine ZOE Dispersion is available for improved product performance in both interior and exterior paints and coatings.

Our sodium Omadine bactericide/fungicide-algaecide provides both dry state and wet state film protection in latex emulsion paints. When used in formulations containing zinc oxide, sodium Omadine biocide provides an effective and highly economical way for manufacturers to protect against bacteria, fungi and algae.

Arch also offers the world's leading architectural fungicide, 3-iodo-2-propynylbutyl carbamate (IPBC). Used extensively throughout the industry in solvent and latex emulsion paints, stains and industrial coatings, Omacide[R] IPBC fungicide provides paint manufacturers with a fresh look at IPBC chemistry.
