Provisioning within IP Infrastructures

ArcanaNetworks Inc, a provider of provisioning software solutions, today announced the premier and public demonstration of their Provisioneer product line at NetWorld + Interop in Atlanta, Booth No. 3533. PROVISIONEER is a software-based solution that simplifies, automates and centralizes the complex configuration of IP Infrastructure devices and services. Provisioneer extends existing operational processes by adding a highly intuitive, operational view into the network - a unique approach that sets PROVISIONEER apart from other solutions being used today.

With PROVISIONEER, general provisioning operations previously done manually on a box-by-box basis, can now be reduced to consistent, and reusable re·use

policies over hundreds of devices on any network segment. As an example, the backup and restoration of configurations can deliver a known network state to Service Providers. This is important as they rollout and manage new services within large data centers. Example services include management of VLANs, VPNs, Web-Hosting and Storage area networks.

"Our service provider and enterprise customers are very demanding. They look for simplification, automation, consistency, quality assurance and a centralized cen·tral·ize

at it's core, PROVISIONEER is unique in that it allows network operations staff to control the network infrastructure on an operational `Intent' basis. PROVISIONEER is able to translate each operational intent into device-specific configuration operations. By using the PROVISIONEER Policy-Server to centralize and abstract the networks operational representation, Network Operations staff are able to automate the provisioning of a large number of devices in a seamless way. This reduces the need for highly specialized spe·cial·ize
