According to Cruden, Verbatim's new QIC-EXtra product allows users to increase the capacity of their 250 MB, 350 MB and 420 MB drives to 800 MB compressed. The result is up to four times the capacity, depending on the user's drive. QIC-EXtra is also compatible with new QIC and Travan drives, making it is the only high-capacity cartridge that supports interchange between new and existing drives.
