ArcSoft Announces PhotoMontage; Transforms Photos Into Micro-Image Masterpieces.


FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 1998--ArcSoft, Inc. makers of the award-winning Zipshot video capture device Video Capture Device (full title Weezer - Video Capture Device: Treasures from the Vault 1991-2002) is the Weezer DVD. It contains footage of a lot of live gigs from early stages of their musical career, right up until 2002.  and leading developers of digital imaging software, announced today PhotoMontage pho·to·mon·tage

(TM), an exciting, unique imaging entertainment program that lets users create a montage of a single image from thousands of micro-images.

ArcSoft's sophisticated PhotoMontage technology automatically selects and arranges thousands of tiny micro-images to recreate the detail of a single image. The included ArcSoft Mega Collection contains over 20,000 micro-images. Users can also customize their montage by adding their own personal images. PhotoMontage allows users to enhance images, apply grids and borders, captions, personal signatures and logos or even place a "hidden treasure" in the final montage. Once created, the montage can be printed on a color inkjet or laser printer or used to create full-size posters utilizing ArcSoft's special PhotoMontage printing service on the web.

PhotoMontage works with video capture devices, such as ArcSoft's Zipshot, to easily capture and add hundreds of still images for use in rendering a montage. For additional personalization, ArcSoft will offer special PhotoMontage CD collections with themes such as sports, animals, nature, etc.

PhotoMontage features:

PhotoMontage system requirements include: 486-based PC (Pentium recommended), Windows 95, 98 and NT, 16 MB RAM (32 MB recommended), 20 MB hard disk space (100 MB recommended for rendering montage), VGA monitor w/16-bit color (or better) display, and a CD-ROM drive.
