"Field notes generated in PocketCAD are already in a form that is easily converted into clean, report-quality drawings," said Kent Diebolt, President at Vertical Access. "This saves us both time and money in the office after a field investigation."

Enhanced editing and file management features incorporated in PocketCAD 4.0 are a direct result of input from enterprise customers and third party developers using the PocketCAD platform to build custom applications.

New features include:
-- Improved performance and file compression to speed file transfer.

-- Programmability allows use of custom built add-ins and third party
applications.

-- Software Development Kit (SDK) available.

-- Read and write DWG and DXF files, version selectable.

-- CadExchange(TM), a new PocketCAD desktop companion, eliminates the need for
the file filters required in earlier versions.

-- EditTrak(TM) merge technology makes it possible for PocketCAD to replay and
merge field changes into desktop drawing files eliminating the potential for
lost data. Original files are never converted--they are simply updated.

-- Support for Architectural, Survey, Engineering, Decimal and Fractional
Units.

-- Optional Printer Driver now available.

PocketCAD 4.0 includes the PocketCAD PowerPak(TM), a collection of three custom add-ins that can be used immediately. The PowerPak includes Corner, Array and Saved View commands. A PocketCAD Printer Driver is also available separately. The Printer Driver allows PocketCAD files to be printed directly from a mobile device to a wide range of infrared-enabled printers.
