Arc Second Inc. Demonstrates INDOOR GPS-Enabled Tools at CMSC Conference; New Hand-Held V-Bar Provides Powerful Alternative to Portable or Standard CMMs.

DULLES, Va. -- Arc Second, Inc., the developer of INDOOR GPS' products, showcased its innovative V-Bar at the 2004 Coordinate Measurement Systems Committee Conference (CMSC CMSC Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers
CMSC Chicago Metropolitan Ski Council
CMSC Certified Medical Staff Coordinator
CMSC Computer Memory Security Check

). The V-Bar, or Vector Bar, is a hand-held measurement tool that gives users of traditional Portable or Standard CMMs a powerful new metrology alternative for measurement, inspection and reverse engineering applications.

Arc Second's V-Bar Brings Scalability and Flexibility.

By leveraging Arc Second's unique INDOOR GPS technology, users who install an INDOOR GPS system in their facility will have the freedom to use an unlimited number of V-Bars within the INDOOR GPS-enabled work volume. The unrivaled footprint of the INDOOR GPS system (facility-wide) provides an exceptional level of visibility around the measurement target. Measuring an entire automobile, for example, can be done by one person without the need for leapfrogging or repositioning of equipment. As a result, the system eliminates the inherent inflexibility of all other Portable CMMs on the market today, such as Leica and Faro Faro, town, Portugal

"The V-Bar is opening a new era of un-tethered and truly portable hand-held measurement," said Edward Barrientos, president of Arc Second, Inc. "With the introduction of INDOOR GPS three years ago, the industry began to implement new approaches to automation and robotics. Now, with the addition of the INDOOR GPS-based V-Bar, users of Portable CMMs are getting more freedom, utility and flexibility out of their equipment."
