Arburg Reveals Future Product Plans.


The German parent company of Arburg, Inc., Newington Newington, town (1990 pop. 29,208), Hartford co., central Conn., a residential suburb of Hartford; settled 1670, inc. 1871. Its industries include milk processing and the manufacture of airplane parts, ball bearings, tools, and plumbing supplies. , Conn., recently unveiled some new products it plans to roll out in the next year:

* Arburg is moving up to machines larger than 300 tons. First up will be a press of 352 tons and tiebar Tie´bar`

 spacing of 720 mm (28 in.). It will be followed by a 440-tonner with 820-mm (32-in.) tiebar spacing.

* By the time of the K 2001 show in Dusseldorf next October, Arburg will introduce a hybrid press with modular hydraulic and electric drives and a clamp clamp (klamp) a surgical device for compressing a part or structure.
