Arbortext Continues Enterprise Publishing Leadership for Richly-Designed Customer-Facing Documents; Announces Arbortext 3B2 Version 9.

Representing a 24-month development effort, this release is loaded with improvements in functionality and enhancements for organizations implementing enterprise publishing applications that produce complex, richly-designed customer-facing documents.

Arbortext software provides the power to drive enterprise publishing, the next generation in traditional desktop publishing desktop publishing, system for producing printed materials that consists of a personal computer or computer workstation, a high-resolution printer (usually a laser printer), and a computer program that allows the user to select from a variety of type fonts and sizes,  and word processing word processing, use of a computer program or a dedicated hardware and software package to write, edit, format, and print a document. Text is most commonly entered using a keyboard similar to a typewriter's, although handwritten input (see pen-based computer) and  software. Enterprise publishing enables companies to create information as components which can be used as building blocks for larger documents, and to automatically assemble and produce information on multiple types of media. With enterprise publishing software, information is more accurate, timely and tailor-fit to the specific needs of the audience, even an audience of one.

Arbortext 3B2 version 9 enhancements include:

--Improved table functionality and processing speed See MHz. . Supports tables nested within tables to multiple levels; automatic balancing of row height when text flows from one cell to the next; improved "keeps" functions to give the user control over which tables, rows and text stay together on the same page; vertical justification to adjust overall table height to match column height alongside the table; and more control over headers and footers. In addition, performance refinements can improve composition speed up to 80%.

--Faster formatting template development. Provides new tools and user interfaces to help developers debug To correct a problem in hardware or software. Debugging software means locating the errors in the source code (the program logic). Debugging hardware means finding errors in the circuit design (logical circuits) or in the physical interconnections of the circuits.  formatting templates to reduce the time they spend identifying and solving problems.

--Expanded language support. Direct support for both TrueType and PostScript(R) character shapes in OpenType fonts combines PostScript font technology with the Unicode standard. This is one of many changes that deliver enhanced language support for European, Arabic and Asia-Pacific regions.

--Improved support infrastructure. Eliminates the need for hardware dongles, offers a global help desk, and publishes libraries that contain re-usable formatting template code template code - Pseudocode generated by an automated CASE system and requiring further hand-coding before compilation. .
