About WebCharts for Essbase

WebCharts for Essbase is written in Java as a platform independent, thin-client module with a completely open application programming interface (API) to allow simple integration within any Web-based application. It is launched as an independent Java applet on the client browser from a central, multi-threaded Java server tightly integrated with the Essbase Web Gateway.

With the click of a button, users can display the results of any Essbase query in a variety of chart formats including line, bar, stacked-bar, pie, area, contour and XY, as well as in pivoting multidimensional spreadsheets. The software's interactive, real-time capabilities enable users to slice and dice Refers to rearranging data so that it can be viewed from different perspectives.
