Arbor Networks Attains NIAP, Common Criteria Certification; Arbor Peakflow X Meets Rigorous Federal Government Security Requirements.


LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Arbor Networks(R), a leader in network security, today announced that it was awarded Common Criteria (Common Criteria for Information Technology Security) An international standard process for defining security objectives and for evaluating compliance with those objectives. This certification, issued by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP See Common Criteria. ), ensures that Arbor Peakflow X, the internal intrusion prevention See IPS and IDS.  (IPS) appliance for enterprise networks, meets a strict set of pre-defined government security requirements.

Achieving this certification required Peakflow X 3.1.4 to undergo a lengthy and meticulous testing and analysis by an independent team of auditors to validate that it can discover threats and protect systems at the stringent levels that the government demands.

In addition to the Common Criteria certification, Arbor Networks has been outperforming in the network security market this year and has recently been honored with several prestigious business and technology awards. These include:
