Arbitron Promotes Linda Dupree to Senior Vice President of Portable People Meter.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2003

Arbitron Inc. (NYSE:ARB) has promoted Linda Dupree to the new position of senior vice president, Portable People Meter (PPM).

In this new role, Ms. Dupree will devote her time solely to the development and marketing of non-ratings uses of the PPM technology. Ms. Dupree will report directly to Steve Morris, CEO and president of Arbitron.

"Linda has been an outstanding leader of our Advertiser/Agency Services division," said Steve Morris, CEO and president, Arbitron. "Given the strategic and financial value of the Marketing Panel application of PPM and the different customer base, having Linda concentrate solely on this concept will allow Arbitron to respond more quickly to the challenges and opportunities presented by the marketplace."

Ms. Dupree has been in sales and management positions with Arbitron since 1990. Most recently, Ms. Dupree held the position of senior vice president, Advertiser/ Agency Services, where she increased revenue and helped to build an exceptional sales group.

Prior to Arbitron, Ms. Dupree was held various media positions including planning supervision at Grey Advertising and field marketing management at the Stroh Brewery Company.

Ms. Dupree received her B.A. from Milsaps College.
