Arbitron Inc. Confirms Financial 2001 Guidance.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 2001

Arbitron, Inc. (NYSE:ARB) announced today that it has reaffirmed its financial outlook which was last updated on July 19, 2001.

Arbitron expects to achieve revenues for 2001 of $225-$228 million, which includes the recent acquisition of the RADAR radio network audience measurement service. Arbitron also announced it expects to achieve earnings per share for 2001 of approximately $1.23.
