: ARB) announced today that Stephen B. Morris, president and chief executive officer, has established a new stock trading plan in accordance with guidelines specified under Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

 manner and to facilitate payment of taxes. This new plan replaces an existing stock trading plan dated as of December 20, 2005.

Under the terms of the plan, Mr. Morris will conduct cashless exercises of options to purchase 77,689 shares of Arbitron stock and conduct sales of such shares over a period of 12 months, which a broker is authorized to execute at monthly intervals beginning in December 2006. These options are from grants that will expire on October 22, 2007 and October 21, 2008.

In January 2007, the plan also calls for Mr. Morris to sell 4,850 shares from a restricted stock grant of March 1, 2006 in order to pay taxes resulting from the December 31, 2006 vesting of 12,125 restricted shares.

This plan is scheduled to terminate on the earlier to occur of November 30, 2007 or the sale of 82,539 shares.

This plan was adopted during an authorized trading period and when Mr. Morris was not in possession of material, non-public information. A third-party broker will administer Mr. Morris' stock trading plan.

All trades for executive officers of Arbitron Inc. will be publicly reported on Forms 144 and Forms 4, which are filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
