Arbab directs timely completion of under construction national highways in Balochistan.

QUETTA, November 13, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Federal Communications minister Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan has directed for timely completion of under construction national highways in Balochistan He issued these directives to concerned officers while inspecting Quetta-Chaman road during his emergency visit on Friday. Minister went to inspect Quetta-Chaman road direct form Quetta airport soon after his arrival here. During his visit of various spots of Quetta-Chaman highway including Pir Aalizai, Mazai Addah, Killa Abdullah and Khojak, Minister called upon General Manager national Highways Authority Pervez Gul, Project Director Quetta-Chaman road Manzoor Hussain Durrani and contractors to complete this highway on schedule so that province of Balochistan is stabilized economically. He said no leniency and lapses would be tolerated. He said that present democratic government wants speedy development of the province. We want immediate and timely completion of all the highways in Balochistan. He said he would carry out emergency visits of the province. Speaking with elites on the occasion Arbab Alamgir Khan said that present government under the leadership of President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani was paying special attention on the uplift of Balochistan. By bringing revolutionary changes in the communications sector we want to see the province economically, socially, and commercially stable. Inshallah he said soon all problems of Balochistan would be resolved and people of this province would have progress and prosperity. -PPI
