Initial results from the property were published on March 1, 1995 (News Release No. 95-02) but the property's location was not revealed at that time due to additional land acquisition by Arauco. The Guindo property is located approximately 240 kilometres south of Santiago and 60 kilometres west of the city of Talca, which is located on the Pan-American Highway Pan-American Highway, system of roads, c.16,000 mi (25,750 km) long, linking the nations of the Western Hemisphere. It was suggested at the Fifth International Conference of American States (1923) and supported and financed by the United States during the 1940s and . The claims are situated in gently rolling hills Rolling hills are like a mountain chain, only a "hill chain" of hills that roll on and on continually. You will often find them in between plains and mountains, near major rivers, or randomly anywhere. The only places without rolling hills are deserts and flood plains. at an elevation of 300 metres. Access and local infrastructure is excellent. Results have been received from the initial sampling of the C Zone. The C Zone which occurs approximately 75 metres east of the B Zone, is presently defined by a 1 ppm gold in soil contour measuring approximately 350 metres by 100 metres. Hand trenching in the southern portion of the zone has returned a grade of 4.56 grams/tonne (0.133 oz/ton) gold over a sample length of 46 metres. The majority of the samples were taken over 2 metre intervals in outcrop and subcrop. The average grade of all 192 samples taken in the A, B and C Zones to date, is 5.07 grams/tonne (0.148 oz/ton) gold. This average includes sampled material which appears to lie outside the zones. Further results from trench sampling of the A & B Zones are expected within two weeks. Fill in hand trenching is presently underway and the company anticipates mechanical trenching to start shortly. A diamond drilling program is planned after trenching results have been received and interpreted.
