Arauco Resources announces gold mineralization expanded at Guindo.VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 1995-- Arauco Resources Corporation (VSE See DOS/VSE. VSE - Virtual Storage Extended :ARU ARU Australian Rugby Union ARU Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge and Chelmsford, UK) ARU Audio Response Unit ARU Ardhi University (Tanzania) ARU Aquarium Rescue Unit (band) ) announced the results from additional sampling on its wholly owned Guindo property in South Chile. The property is located approximately 240 kilometres south of Santiago along the Pan-American highway Pan-American Highway, system of roads, c.16,000 mi (25,750 km) long, linking the nations of the Western Hemisphere. It was suggested at the Fifth International Conference of American States (1923) and supported and financed by the United States during the 1940s and . The claims are situated in gently rolling terrain at an elevation of 300 metres. Access and local infrastructure are excellent. Results have been received for 88 additional samples taken from surface trenches on the A and B Zones. These results have expanded the area of known mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. The majority of samples were taken over 2 metre intervals in outcrop and subcrop yielding an average grade of 2.85 gm/tonne (0.083 opt). The mineralization is hosted within "low sulphide" zones of highly silicified si·lic·i·fy v. si·lic·i·fied, si·lic·i·fy·ing, si·lic·i·fies v.tr. To convert into or impregnate with silica. v.intr. The A Zone is presently defined by a 1 ppm gold lithogeochemical anomaly measuring 500 metres by 100 metres. Results from 11 trenches within the A Zone have now been received with 151 samples averaging 3.54 gm/tonne (0.103 opt) gold. The B Zone, which is situated approximately 100 metres to the east of the A Zone, is defined by a 1 ppm gold lithogeochemical anomaly measuring 450 metres by 100 metres. Results from 16 trenches within the B Zone have now been received with 86 samples averaging 6.30 gm/tonne (0.184 opt) gold. THE AVERAGE GRADE OF ALL 279 SAMPLES, TAKEN FROM THE A, B AND C ZONES TO DATE, IS 4.39 gm/tonne (0.128 opt) GOLD. This includes sampled material which appears to lie outside the zones. Forty nine samples have also been retested at a second, independent, Canadian laboratory and are consistent with previously reported assays. Geological mapping and hand trenching is continuing on the property. A program of backhoe trenching and diamond drilling is planned to commence after results from the initial exploration stage have been interpreted. The three known gold zones remain open in all directions and the potential to discover new zones remains excellent. Arauco Resources Corporation is 62% owned by Santa Elina Gold Corporation (TSE-SAU) and conducts exploration throughout South America from its office in Santiago, Chile. -0- NOTE: The Vancouver Stock Exchange Vancouver Stock Exchange (VSE) A securities and options exchange in Vancouver, British Columbia, (Canada), specializing in venture capital companies.
