Prior to this year's program, the estimated resource at George Lake was 3,156,870 tonnes grading 13.4 grams gold per tonne or about 1,361,735 ounces. Arauco also announces that initial exploration assays have been received from the nearby Goose Lake Goose Lake may refer to: The United States

The nearest hole to this was drilled in 1993 by a past operator 30 metres southeast and 25 metres deeper, and returned a number of intersections including 20.0 grams gold per tonne over 1.5 metres and 12.6 g/tonne over 3.0 metres. A hole drilled in 1994 a further 60 metres southeast and 50 metres deeper returned 13.1 g/tonne over 1.6 metres; 11.3 g/tonne over 5.3 metres and 14.8 g/tonne over 1.5 metres. A recent hole drilled 30 metres above 97-GO-001 is out for assay. The zone is open down plunge. In light of the above results, Arauco is considering additional drilling to test the down-plunge extension of the zone this season. Prior to this year's program, the estimated resource at the Goose Lake deposit was 1,393,000 tonnes grading 13.8 grams gold per tonne, or about 619,000 contained ounces. Initial assays have also been received from the Hammer Zone on the Boot Lake property. The best results from the first four holes returned 5.5 g/tonne across 3.9 metres and 6.7 g/tonne across 1.0 metre. Further assays will be reported as they are received.
