Arasan Launches SDIO in a Box.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Arasan Chip Systems has launched the latest version of its SDIO See SDIO card.  Hardware Development Kit (HDK), titled "SDIO in a Box" which gives SDIO accessory developers all the resources required to build their products right out of the box. Drivers are included for Palm, Win CE and Win XP Operating Systems and no custom driver development is necessary.

The kit is built around Arasan's Industry Standard AC21C00 SDIO-UART Bridge Chip. The chip measures just 8mm x 8mm x 1.0mm and has ultra low power An ultra low power, or ULP device, is an electronic gadget that has milli- or micro-watt power consumption.
