Arab conference on strategic planning starts in Amman.


Amman, Nov 15(Petra)- A training conference on contemporary strategic planning Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people.  and management started in Amman on Sunday to discuss concepts related to strategic planning, future studies and performance management. The conference is attended by participants from four Arab countries including Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia (sä`dē ərā`bēə, sou`–, sô–), officially Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, kingdom (2005 est. pop. , Libya, Iraq, Jordan in addition to experts, academics and specialists in the field of strategic planning and human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. . Director General of the National Institute for Training Osama Jaradat said in opening remarks that the strategic planning process requires competent and skilled people who are able to analyze the internal and external environment accurately. "The strategic planning also requires mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation through the use of performance indicators when drawing up the strategic plan, he added. The five-day conference will discuss specialized topics on strategic planning from an American point of view and turn creative ideas into applicable plans. Other topics for discussion will include developing working plans at institutions, control methods and evaluation of the strategic plan through the use of modern technology.
