Aquilent Wins OCC Web Project.

Aquilent Selected to Design the new Web and Electronic Publishing System for the OCC

LAUREL, Md. -- Aquilent was awarded a two-year, $5.3 million contract at the Department of Treasury's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Aquilent, and its partners PTC and Percussion, will work with the OCC to design, develop, test, implement, and support the new Web and Electronic Publishing System (WEPS) for the OCC. This systems integration effort combines document management functionality using PTC Arbortext products and Web content management using Percussion's Rhythmyx.

The WEPS initiative will provide information to the OCC's bank examiners in a more timely, accessible, searchable, and trustworthy format, whether they work on-line or off-line, and increase the integration of needed information into the examination toolset. WEPS will also automate current paper-based editorial processes; transform the OCC's print/document-centric publishing model into a content-centric one that allows the information to be published in multiple formats and multiple media, electronic and print; and ensure that the OCC's customers can easily find, access, and use the OCC's content.

"We are excited about the opportunity to work with the OCC as we deliver this innovative solution yielding significant efficiencies for such an important initiative," said David Fout, President and CEO of Aquilent, Inc.
