Aquilent Wins $13M in Combined New Business.


Contracts with Federal Government Agencies Include Web, Content Management, and Program Management Office Solutions

LAUREL, Md. -- Aquilent, the recognized leading provider of Web-based solutions shaping the next generation of technology for the federal government, today announced its selection for a variety of contracts totaling $13M supporting federal government agencies with web, technology strategy, and program management office solutions.

In addition to the recently announced wins for the Department of Transportation, Department of Veterans Affairs, and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the federal regulatory agency for futures trading, was established by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Act of 1974 (88 Stat. 1389; 7 U.S.C.A. 4a), approved October 23, 1974. , Aquilent has also secured the following contracts:

* National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Noun 1. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - an agency in the Department of Commerce that maps the oceans and conserves their living resources; predicts changes to the earth's environment; provides weather reports and forecasts floods and hurricanes and  (NOAA) National Fishing Permits and Landings Reporting System (NFPLRS): Aquilent will provide an enhanced web site, staffed call-center, and interactive voice response (IVR) system where commercial and recreational fisherman can report their landings of highly-migratory species of fish. In addition to maintaining day-to-day operation of the system, Aquilent will be making technology enhancements to improve the overall functionality of the system.

 Health Resources and Services Administration The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is an agency within the United States Department of Health and Human Services whose goal is to improve access to health care for those without insurance.  (HRSA) web content management strategy: Aquilent will deliver enhancements under an existing contract for improved content presentation via the HRSA web site, development of interactive website features, creation of a formal brand strategy and communications plan, incorporation of Web 2.0 features, expanded user research, and production and roll-out of the HRSA content management system.

) National Library of Medicine (NLM): Disaster Information Management Research Center (DIMRC). Aquilent is supporting several research and technical programs for DIMRC and the Bethesda Hospitals Emergency Preparedness Partnership (BHEPP). Initial projects include the evaluation of the Military Affiliate Radio System A program conducted by the Departments of the Army, Navy, and Air Force in which amateur radio stations and operators participate in and contribute to the mission of providing auxiliary and emergency communications on a local, national, or international basis as an adjunct to normal  (MARS) as an alternative data communication system during disasters, and the exploration of Web 2.0 technologies for emergency/disaster training activities for BHEPP community. In addition, Aquilent will be supporting disaster and other biomedical information management activities.

* Department of Health and Human Services Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality,

) web services: Aquilent will provide web site strategic, usability, and project management consulting services.

* US Nuclear Regulatory Commission Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), an independent U.S. government commission, created by the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 and charged with licensing and regulating civilian use of nuclear energy to protect the public and the environment.  (NRC) web design and content management system (CMS (1) See content management system and color management system.

(2) (Conversational Monitor System) Software that provides interactive communications for IBM's VM operating system.
) services: Aquilent will provide strategic web consulting services throughout all phases of the web site redesign project, which includes information architecture development, graphic and visual design, branding, usability testing, and CMS implementation and process.

* US Department of Interior (DOI) US Geological Survey (USGS) Human Capital Intranet - Aquilent will be completing the final phase of the Human Capital intranet consolidation and redesign project by implementing the new USGS' Human Capital intranet design as well as providing web development and content migration consulting services.
