Aquilent Names Peter Digiammarino President; 30-Year Industry Veteran Brings Experience From BTG, SAIC, and AMS.

Aquilent, a leading developer of Web-based public sector solutions including portals, e-procurement solutions, and scientific applications, today announced that Peter DiGiammarino joins the organization as president.

In this role, DiGiammarino has oversight responsibility for all day-to-day functions of the organization, including marketing and business development, finance, legal, information technology, human resources, and service delivery.

DiGiammarino previously served as founder and chief executive officer of IntelliVen, a consulting firm that helps leaders of high tech ventures achieve sustained growth and performance as they turn strategy into successful businesses. Prior to that time, DiGiammarino was senior vice president and general manager at SAIC, and senior vice president and general manager at BTG.

At BTG, his accomplishments included successfully restoring unprofitable business units to consistent profitability. Additionally, DiGiammarino was president and chief operating officer of Hyperion Software Company, a $200 million worldwide provider of business information software.

At Hyperion, DiGiammarino succeeded in beating Wall Street financial performance expectations every quarter during his tenure. Earlier in his career, DiGiammarino spent 19 years at American Management Systems, achieving the position of vice president and business area manager for the Finance Industry Group, which accounted for 20 percent of the company's revenues.

In this post, he successfully maintained a growth rate of more than 20 percent annually over a period of more than a dozen years.
