Aquatic Cellulose Receives $75,000 In Purchase Orders From Multinational Forest Products Corporation for Massaranduba.

Aquatic Cellulose (OTCBB:AQCI), a leader in the emerging aquatic timber harvesting industry, today announced it has received $75,000 in purchase orders from a multinational forest products corporation.

All orders include a tropical timber species known as Massaranduba, or "Bulletwood." Aquatic reports it has already processed the first Massaranduba order and anticipates order transfer to Port of Belem beginning next week.

He added, "In the U.S., we are continuing to see strength in acceptance of our fine quality ecological hardwoods from large buyers. In response to their demand, we have focused our Brazilian production to further develop our inventories of Jatoba, Ipe, Massaranduba, and other popular tropical species in the U.S."

Aquatic says it has identified a total of 35 different species of hardwoods and softwoods within its Tucurui Lake operation. Frank Van Vranken, AQCI's Head of International Operations, noted, "Many of our hardwoods, such as Massaranduba, have well established markets in the U.S. At present, we are primarily targeting hardwood flooring and decking markets with our lumber." Mr. Ackles stated, "These two lucrative markets, having responded enthusiastically to both our high quality and to the intrinsic marketing advantages offered through distribution of our ecological alternatives, have provided immediate opportunities to increase our lumber sales and margins in the U.S. We are pleased."

Massaranduba is reported to be very resistant to moisture absorption and, as a result, it is one of the premier tropical hardwoods used in manufacturing decking. Mr. Van Vranken stated, "All orders announced today will be smoothly planed for decking at a facility in Belem prior to transfer."

While Aquatic has targeted decking as a primary market, the company reports commercial applications of Massaranduba are extensive. Mr. Van Vranken noted, "Massaranduba has been used in manufacturing such items as cabinets, exterior trim and siding, fine furniture, billiard cue butts and musical instruments." Mr. Ackles concluded, "We have plans to penetrate several markets with respect to our Massaranduba, as well as to continue developing new and exciting markets for all of our ecological hardwoods not only in the U.S., but globally as well."
