Aquas Introduces Website Analysis Package for Internet Service Providers; Bazaar Analyzer Pro/vider is the First Web Analysis Tool Specifically Designed to Reduce ISP Administrative Expense and Increase Service Revenues.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1997--Aquas Inc. today announced Bazaar Analyzer Pro/vider, the industry's first web analysis solution designed for Internet Service Providers Internet service provider (ISP)

Company that provides Internet connections and services to individuals and organizations. For a monthly fee, ISPs provide computer users with a connection to their site (see data transmission), as well as a log-in name and password.
 (ISPs) and their customers.

BAPro/vider is designed for the ISP's bottom line in two ways. First, sophisticated web analysis can be an additional source of revenue to the service provider. Second, BAPro/vider will reduce the annual administration cost of web analysis by half.

"Today's ISP (1) See in-system programmable.

(2) (Internet Service Provider) An organization that provides access to the Internet. Connection to the user is provided via dial-up, ISDN, cable, DSL and T1/T3 lines.
business model is moving to tiered services. No longer is connectivity enough, or even profitable," said Steve Shank shank (shangk)

, Aquas' VP of sales and marketing. "Access to robust web analysis is becoming an important selection criteria when choosing a web host."

"Until now, service providers have been reluctant to add technology that demands more administrative overhead," said Joel Baker, ISPCondo Channel Manager, AboveNet Communications. "The unique architecture and administrative modules of Bazaar Analyzer Pro/vider gives users quality reports with a minimum of support from the ISP. ISPCondo is working with its partners to create a new generation of profitable ISPs, and we're finding that site analysis is becoming an important part of that goal."

BAPro/vider builds on Aquas' recently introduced Java-based, real-time interactive website analysis tool, Bazaar Analyzer Pro 2.0. It adds a special ISP administration module to create and profile hundreds of users through interactive and batch processing (1) Performing a particular operation automatically on a group of files all at once rather than manually opening, editing and saving one file at a time. For example, graphics software that converts a selection of images from one format to another would be a batch processing utility. . BAPro/vider features its own script editor with fully explained sample scripts. Its functions include adding new users, configuring customer services, and suspending or canceling account access. Its user-friendly graphical interface stresses the utilitarian speed and simplicity that busy ISPs appreciate.

With BAPro/vider, the ISP can offer services to their customers ranging from automatic fixed reports, to fully interactive analysis controlled by the users. The service level of each customer can be set individually depending on the Provider's business model.

"It's a complicated problem when the ISP wants to offer several levels of analysis services, each at a different price point," said Sandip Chintawar, founder & CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. See CIO and salary survey. , Aquas Inc. "Most analysis software has been designed for the single user or single server architecture. Bazaar Analyzer Pro/vider lets us offer a system that can both be installed and administered on a dedicated web analysis server, or directly on each virtual webserver to support thousands of users. This is an extremely scalable solution."

Bazaar Analyzer Pro/vider is available on all major UNIX UNIX

platforms and NT. ISPs can license it, depending on configuration and number of actual users, for as low as $2 per ISP customer. Full sales and customer support training is available along with splash screen customization for identifying the service as the ISP's. A resale program is also available for co-location customers.
