Aqua Pennsylvania's Reservoirs Full and Ready for Summer.

Summer weather has arrived, and with it Aqua Pennsylvania Pennsylvania (pĕnsəlvā`nyə), one of the Middle Atlantic states of the United States. It is bordered by New Jersey, across the Delaware River (E), Delaware (SE), Maryland (S), West Virginia (SW), Ohio (W), and Lake Erie and New York , Inc. (Aqua), formerly Philadelphia Suburban Water Company, is pleased to report that its nine-billion-gallon reservoir system is filled to 100 percent capacity.

"Thanks to this year's wet winter and spring, our reservoirs are completely full and ready for summer," said Aqua's Vice President, Water Resources Preston Luitweiler.

Aqua has five reservoirs in its system, two of which--Green Lane and Springton--account for almost eight billion gallons of the nine-billion-gallon reserve.

"Our region has already been hit with summer-like temperatures, which has generated excitement for summer activities," said Luitweiler.

Despite this season's wet weather, Luitweiler said customers should always use water wisely because it's unknown when another drought drought, abnormally long period of insufficient rainfall. Drought cannot be defined in terms of inches of rainfall or number of days without rain, since it is determined by such variable factors as the distribution in time and area of precipitation during and before  will arrive.
