Revenues for the three-month period ended March 31, 1997 were $3,631,701 which represented a decrease of $349,431 or 8.8% below the corresponding three-month period in 1996. This decrease was primarily attributable to the timing of revenue recognition of wastewater treatment contracts. The company's wastewater treatment subsidiaries recognized decreased revenues earned on such contracts for the three months ended March 31, 1997 as opposed to the same period in 1996. This decrease in revenues was offset by a decrease in cost of revenues and operating expenses Operating expenses
