Aqua Care Systems To Manufacture, Sell and Service Sernagiotto Equipment in North America.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 14, 1997--Aqua Care Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:AQCR) and Sernagiotto, S.p.A. of Casteggio, Italy, today announced an agreement which allows Aqua Care Systems to manufacture, sell and service Sernagiotto equipment in North America.

With more than 1,000 installations worldwide, Sernagiotto is a renowned manufacturer of premium quality belt filter presses, driers and thickeners, some of which have been sold under the Andritz(R) trade name for many years. Under the terms of the agreement, Aqua Care acquires the exclusive rights to sell, install, service, manufacture and/or assemble Sernagiotto's products within the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

The Sernagiotto manufacturing facilities have recently been certified as complying with ISO 9001(R), which is recognized as the highest achievable standard of quality control and workmanship. The Sernagiotto division will do business in the U.S. as SernaTech(R) and will be based at Aqua Care's corporate headquarters in Coral Springs, Fla.

For the nine-month period ended Sept. 30, 1996, Aqua Care reported revenues of $12.2 million, a 16.6 percent increase from the year-earlier period and the company's net loss was reduced to $(157,000) a decrease of $2.7 million from a net loss of $(2,863,000) in the first nine months of 1995.
