Aqua America and Please Touch Museum to Announce Partnership.


Educational Sponsorship Will Bring Bigger and Better Water Exhibit to Memorial Hall

Aqua America America [for Amerigo Vespucci], the lands of the Western Hemisphere—North America, Central (or Middle) America, and South America. The world map published in 1507 by Martin Waldseemüller is the first known cartographic use of the name. , Inc.:
WHAT:     Please Touch Museum, the Children's Museum of Philadelphia,
          and Aqua America, Inc., the largest U.S.-based publicly
          traded water and wastewater utility holding company in the
          country, will announce plans to create a major new water
          education exhibit at the museum's new home at Memorial Hall
          in Fairmount Park.

DETAILS:  Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park is
          scheduled to open in the fall of 2008. Memorial Hall, built
          for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition, will provide a truly
          unique children's museum with 36,000 square feet of exhibit
          space (more than triple the current 11,000), a newly
          restored carousel, new exhibits, parking and a restaurant.

          Aqua America is the largest U.S.-based publicly traded water
          and wastewater utility holding company in the country,
          serving approximately 2.8 million residents in 13 states.
