Aptuit Names Kurt S. Mussina Vice President, Sales and Marketing; Strategic Hire Furthers Aptuit's Commitment to Offer Customers the Highest Level of Service.

GREENWICH, Conn. -- Aptuit, Inc. announced today that Kurt S. Mussina has been appointed Vice President, Sales and Marketing of its global drug development services enterprise. Mr. Mussina has more than 19 years of experience in the industry and holds a deep understanding of the market through his breadth of experience ranging from senior positions managing sales and marketing for large, international CROs, to his work as an R&D scientist. Mussina will manage Aptuit's global sales and marketing force, working to expand its client base as well as to ensure that current clients receive the top-tier customer service that Aptuit is committed to deliver.

Mr. Mussina has experience spanning the entire spectrum of drug development. Prior to joining Aptuit, he was Vice President, Commercial Operations for CRF, Inc, where he designed and executed the company's global sales and marketing strategy. The company's sales doubled during his tenure. Mr. Mussina was also formerly the Vice President, International Business for Inveresk Research Inc, where he managed the Sales and Marketing divisions that offered clinical research services spanning phase I through IV clinical trials. In addition to Inveresk, Mr. Mussina was the CEO and Founder of Inceutica Inc, where he developed the company's business strategy and managed global operations.

Prior to Inceutica, Mr. Mussina served as the Global Director of Sales and Marketing for aaiPharma, where he was responsible for the planning and logistics for six businesses, supporting both critical internal operations and external customers. He also held positions as an R&D scientist at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. Mr. Mussina holds an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business and a BS in Chemistry from Montclair State University.
